The Smurfs win Summer Weekday Rec League

Congrats to rec league team Smurfs for winning the final game this past Sunday.  They beat Huck of Love in a fast paced game.  Also, kudos go to the FLICKstones for winning the team spirit award.  I hope everyone had a great season!

Short Skirts and Loooong Wins Intermediate League

The heavily favored Short Skirts and Looong took care of business in the Intermediate League finals against scrappy Code Red Daze 13-4. Congratulations to Ian Fisher and his team for winning the 2010 Summer Intermediate League regular season and tournament. And congrats to Carol Gersten and Bryan Greenwald for captaining Code Red Daze from the bottom of the draw and, by upsetting the 4, 3, and 2 overall seeds, making the finals.

Congratulations to Summer Weekend Rec League Champions Toxic Dumping!

On Saturday, August 14, the 8-team Summer Weekend Rec League took the field for their end-of-season tournament. Toxic Dumping defeated "It's A Goddamn Cheeseburger Apocalypse" in the finals 15-11. Particular kudos go to Leslie Anderson and Sara Meadows for playing all 3 games savage for Toxic Dumping.

Congratulations also go to Chernobyl for winning the "Beer Bracket."
